Post S-10 V8

a friend of mine has a s-10 with a 350 in it and is using the stock rearend but needs a posi to get some traction. So what will work without changing the whole rearend axels and all. What can u interchange with them to make it a posi.

You can get a spool, but I wouldn't if your buddy uses his as a daily driver like I do mine. Another idea is the S-10 4X4's some had posi's from the factory. I had one in my truck but they are a little wider than the truck rear ends. Then I twisted an axle so they're not all that strong. They mount the same as the 2 wheel drive trucks.

My dad was saying it could be possible to swap out the two S-10 rears. (the 4X4 one, and the 2 wheel drive). I don't know if they're the same, but I'd be interested in finding out. If so the posi units are out there in 4x4 S-10's. Took a while to find the one I had though.
