You can order them any way you want I think- my s-10 has the Extreme suspension package and the Vortec v-6 but I didn't want all the ground effects as it SNOWS here and they'd just get broken off in the parking lot. It sets nice, but not too low, is fast and I don't have to worry about curbs and snow piles..

I've seen a couple of Extreme's with 2.2 4 cyl. I don't really understand it, but they come with the lowered suspension and ground effects (but like dragon said, you can get them any way you want).

I better buy that truck. The seller says everyone looks at it and girls are flashing their tel #'s.

My roomate has a 2003 S-10 Extreme with a 2.2 liter vortech. The truck DOES get alot of attention from girls, but I personally don't care for it. It's a comfy little ride, but is gutless to the Xtreme. Maybe it's because my daily driver for some time has been a warmed over 70 nova, but I just don't enjoy driving that truck. My sister's 2002 cavalier with the standard 4 cyl. has WAY more get up and go than his truck. I don't know if it's the weight, or gearing but it's definately NOT fast. He says he bought the 2.2 liter with manual locks and windows because it was cheaper. I personally think that he wasted $20+k on an S-10 with a body kit and Xtreme decals. Heck, my buddies GMC sonoma has a homemasde $7 dollar roll panel, some smoked light covers, tinted windows, affordable rims, and a $6 dollar exhaust tip, and looks just as sharp as the Xtreme IMO; and he only spent like $7 or 8 thousand on it. But, yes you can buy them with a 6 cyl. engine. Chevy should drop in an LS1, that would be Xtreme
