S Spring Wire?

I've stripped down the rear seat to a 1970 Cadillac. The springs are fine but I've noticed that no wire was present to hold the springs together when someone sits on the seat.

Should I install a wire upon re assembly of this seat?

That is called a tie wire and connects all the springs, and yes, it is a good idea to install one, but make sure the tie wire is under the springs, and not on top of the springs.
