S10 355 final countdown

It's the final countdown for the S10 this summer. I'm damn sure not pulling the motor again. Pain in the *****! I did however clean up all the wires and took off the N2o.

I check the pickup and distance to the pan myself and its right where it should be. Once the rain stops I will give her a good testing and I'm hoping the oil pressure problems are gone.

I have some picture of the build process below.

Looking good! Not crazy about that cheesy plastic filter right there though. I hope that's temporary.

Yea I had to cut a lot of braided fuel line. It was the best a local parts store could do, Its gone soon. Video coming soon thanks for comments.

Well poop! The oil pressure is still dropping under a load but this time its acting like the old motor. Will spike up to 65 then drop to 40 just like my 93 LT1. All I can think at this point is why would two different motors act the same way?

The only 2 things that are not totally new are.
1. Distributor
2. Oil gauge cheap ****... But I did change it 2 days before the old motor lost pressure.

The distributor does need to go in a little bit deeper though. I'm going to try and put just 6qts in and see if it may be some windage problems but i'm at a loss. Barrings looked great when the motor was out we put in a M55A pump so it cant be sucking the pan dry at this point.

So I ordered the 85501 MSD with a slip collar
A nice Oil gauge and the AN fittings to go with it and not that small copper junk.
