S10 rearend help

I need some help with my S10, I'm putting a nitrous small block in it and I need a rear end that will handle around 650HP.

I'm new to this sort of thing so I have no idea what will fit/hold up.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Dan

strange and currie both make bolt in 9 inch ford rrear for a s10..they cost about 2000.00...or you can get a 8.5 inch rear from a ss s10 with the 5 speed and 4.3 motor..spend a lot of cash build it..but i wouls save up and get the ford 9 and never worry about it again

Or you can get a Ford 8.8" 31 spline out of an Explorer and use a deeper backspacing on the rims. There's a good range of ratios and lockers, too...

If you want to do some digging around the salvage yards here's a list of Rear Axle Measurements that I found, maybe they'll be of some help.
