S10 transmission for my 50 chevy

A question my 50 chevy has the original tranny and rear end, I would like to up grade the trans to maybe a older s10 4 speed or 5 speed. I have rear from a55 chevyto put under it The old girl has a decent engine,

not sure what your question is.

IF your 1950 had the torque tube drive line..... you need to change the rear leaf springs or build special offset spring perches to align the wheels in the rear fender opening... been there , done it.

I used a saginaw 4 speed behind a warmed up 235 chevy 6, 68 chevy truck rear diff to keep the 6 lug bolt pattern.

S10 5spd is a T5, which might work, but not w/ your factory clutch pedal. most T5 swaps use cable linkage. bolting it to an adaptor to the 216/235 should proove no problem, but the clutch might be
