s10 v8 clerance

I heard theres a ridge or seam in the trans tunnel that gets in the way of the motor fitting right. How is this taken off or is it bent or what.

Yes, it does. The quick fix is a big hammer if you don't mind beating up your tunnel. You could cut it out and modify it to make it look nice.
