does anybody here have the v8 swap mounts for s10/camaro?
I need some for my thirdgen, so i dont have to fight the K-member, to put in those piss agrivating mounts, and i dont want to weld them in..
like that.
They bolt to the easier to get to, v6 mount holes. If anyone has them, is there anyway someone could get me some dimensions, so i could make my own?
Reverse engineer them, piece by piece. Bolt the rubber mounts to the motor, bolt a plate to the frame, drop the motor into place and connect the dots with whatever material is required. That's how you make pieces from scratch that fit. Done it a thousand times.

well, the camaro has the bracket holes there, for the v8, and i already had one bolt out, so im thinking im going to cut the bolts, and use shrink wrap tubing. or fishing line to fish (no pun intended) the bolts back up in the hole and bolt from the top.
Just have to move the brake line.
Sorry for the late reply. Been at the fire academy, so ive been short on computer time.
It's definitely a lot easier with the control arms out to get at them but it can be done with swivels and extensions. I think the 2.8 mounts would make the engine sit higher than stock. If you do go that route post some pics. I'm about to drop my engine in but if I could gain some adjustability that would be good.
When I did my 5.0 into my 83 ranger I ordered the Info from a company that also did the s 10 kits. I looked at the pictures and made my own mounting brackets, also they had the Ford info I needed,,, maverick V 8 motor mounts, and stock exhaust manifolds. econoline V 8 w PS had a fuel pump that fit, 460 van oil filter casting There was a lot of S 10 info in those pages but all I looked at was the ford info. S 10's are a lot easier than rangers. It would have been easier to have done a 350-350 into the ranger.
