S10 wiring mess

anyone have any pointers on how to wire a 350 into a 2000 s10 and use the factory gauges? is it better to use an aftermarket harness or modify the original?

Doc here,

Depends..What options are there going to be? Computer control? Smog? Bare bones street rod?

All require different approaches..

One thing for sure..If you use the factory gauges, pull the senders from the outgoing engine and install them in the new 350..the New 350 senders may not be Resistance matched to the body gauges..If they won't fit into the 350...fine the stock sender resistance, and order one to fit a 350 in that resistance range..

If not, the gauges may report in error..If at all..

Happy 4 th Of July!
