safe for engine?
hey yall, I recently put in an open air element and i'm concerned about it sucking in hot air. i've heard that you can remove the weather stripping on the back of the hood to let cool air in. Will this be safe? I dont want anything to short out due to rain. this is just a quick fix until i can afford a cowl hood.

Shouldn't hurt anything, but you won't get much air just removing the weatherstriping. A 60s trick was to raise the back of the hood an inch or so...
