I know that a saginaw transmission will not hold up to much abuse, but I will be pulling mine and replacing all of the seals, gaskets, syncros, etc. soon. To make it as strong and as solid as possible, are there any tips or modifications I should make to improve it’s durability when I put it back together? I vaguely remember being told once something about shimming the gears on the mainshaft? and using roller bearings somewhere instead of ball bearings? Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.
