$250-$750. Shop around. Toss out high bidder and low bidder and choose someone in the middle.

Last week I took a bare 9"bronco housing and a stock model A front axle to be blasted and primed. He quoted me $150.00 just to blast and prime!!!! That was more than double what I paid 6 months ago. I took my parts elsewhere and was quoted $60.00 for the same job. They are supposed to be done monday.

Price likely varies with location and the OP didn't say where he is. Here in Northern VA, a local shop gets $700-$800 to blast and powdercoat a bare frame. That's a GM A-body-sized frame (Cutlass/Chevelle).

Your mileage may vary.

What your looking for is a shop that does a high volume low pressure blast and a shop that has been doing it for a very long time. It's a feel in terms of the distance used while blasting. You can do some damage to the surface if you not sensitive to what is being blasted. The other downfall is to "try" to get all the sand out of all the corners and inside the frame. It makes the type of primer even more important. So if the pricing seems high, you might want to look into why.

The other thing I want to add is you might want to do whatever welding you need to do before blasting.A frame that hasn't been completely cleaned to weld isn't a fun time.

For a frame or non sheet metal part that is not easily damaged check with a monument company. They will use coarse sand but sometimes can do it quickly and cheaper than other shops. For obvious reasons do not consider taking your sheet metal parts to them.
