Any chance of a couple scanned .jpg pix of the relevant pages? Thanks.

Have always had cars media blasted, D/A with 80 grit, then epoxy prime. By the way the first car I started working on when I was 12 was a 56 metropolitan convertible that I still have today. Was a father son project, and I guess that is where it all started.

Soda Blasting

Soda blasting is the best way to go if you want to remove all the paint. You must wash the vehicle with a mild soap and water first. You have to make sure you remove all the soda and rinse all the nooks and crannies. Good luck

sanblasting with sand is absolutely the worst thing you can do. funny how people search out old threads to insert links . that link by the way was useless.

Why

Shine, if it's old and useless, why are you answering it? I don't see a thing wrong with doing research on something. A person may learn something, try it.

Spam?

How come everything is spam lately, and sellling paint isn't? Why don't you spend more time on here actually helping people out instead of putting everything down. I know you have to be a better person in real life instead of being so sour online. At least I like to think so.

i dont sell paint nor do i work for spi . i also dont work for ppg , norton , evercoat or west systems but i do use their products as a professional and recommend them. i have also been here 10 years this month and go out of my way to help people.
digging up years old threads just to post a link is called spamming. happens here all the time . there is a large wiki article on blasting and stripping paint .

Whats up with the hostility? I haven't been here a long time but long enough to know Shine is a respected member of this board, and I know better then to attack a long time member when you have only been here for a couple of months.

Did I miss something between the lines? no hate.
