I was curious and did a search on tack rags and came up with this:
tack clothes from Home Depot

Looks like tack rags are OK if you get good ones. I still don't see much reason to use them on bare metal before epoxy.

no need to to use a tac clothe/rag only purpose is for base and clear. just clean the surface of the metal and get it primed then you can work on getting the thing straight. if your doing it at home then yea panel by panel would be a good idea so you don't get ahead of yourself

i was just going to use it to wipe down the car just before i sprayed the epoxy, some one told me i should, thats why i asked . again thanks for the input, im going monday to pick up the epoxy and 2k primer, im sure ill have more ?s
