Sanding Help

I have a question about finish sanding around a 90 deg turn with a radius. I am block sanding my 2K primer for flatness and final paint. What is the trick to block sanding around this corner. Is it to use a really small stick with paper or is there something flexible that I can sand this with.

Thanks

Block both flat areas first, then sand the radius. As a rule you block the larger surface areas first then blend in the details. A soft or hard block can be used depending on if there is any irregularities that need to be removed. Hope this helps.

This is the reasoning: if you were to do the radius first then the flat areas a line would show at the edge of the flat areas where it turns at the radius. Guidecoat can prove this theory. Bob

Bob's right on.
It depends on the area itself really. If you can find a suitable block of "whatever" and it "feels" right. Use it.
I'll use guide coat,PSA paper stuck to my hand and "work" it with the contour's feel till it looks right if necessary. Sometimes you just have to use your feel instead of a block.
