sata gun

i need some advice. i recently purchased a sata 90-2 with a 1.3 tip. i shoot a lot of omni with other guns using a 1.4 tip
with good luck. will this gun work with dupont chromabase
the tech sheets recommend a 1.4 tip. the 1.3 guns was the
last my dealer had and i got a good deal on it.
thanks

Is it a gray color gun,Jet 90-2RP?
I have one with a 1.4 and it REALLY throws a LOT of paint.
Too much really as the gun runs around 40-45 psi to spray right.
It paints beautiful and I shoot Chromabase but expect to use more than you think. With the right value shade primer,I have covered with Silver metallic on the first coat. I shot 2 coats as I should but I could have left it at one so that should give you some idea of how much paint these guns put out.
Might even do better with a 1.3. Probbly won't have as wide a pattern as a 1.4 but should do a good job.

I shoot cromabase at my shop everyday with a satajet 2000 1.3 tip. Little to No orange peel in the clear either! Just do your flood test and bump up the pressure about 5psi from ideal setting and your on our way to flat smooth panels
