Sata Jet Rp, Advice Please On Usage??

I just got my hands on the sata jet rp 1.4 clear gun, ok i am a sata man, as posted before on this thread, my question is about what pressure range are you guys shooting clear at? i know it will range from different clear some being HS or low voc, just curious, Ive been sticking with my reg jet 90s for clear and shooting with this gun was quite different, im just curios about air pressure everyone using this gun is spraying at, and also let me know what type clear your using, i like the gun i got the clear to lay out very very slick, but took some getting use too... i know im long winded as many would say but any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks again, Mike, in Savannah, Ga.

Everyone sprays different so would require a slight adjustment and different air pressure.
I most likely paint different than anyone else on here so my settings may not work for you.

First I'm a very fast painter and the gun is always adjusted to perfection because I will take the time to do that.
My RP 1.4 when I spray the gun will be 3-6" from the panel max.
Because of this I may need a little more air pressure than most people.
Base and clear are sprayed the same way and that includes metallics because I do not believe in drop spraying bases and with gun adjustment if you must dry spray to get the metallic even its time to buy a better base.

VW silver base when I was done spraying the gage was at 32lbs. (Global)
Black base when done spraying was 34lbs (SPI)
The reason i say after spraying is I pay no attention to the gage when adjusting the gun I adjust so I can lay the paint the way I want it to lay.

Clears only use High solids and the gage will be 34 to 38 every time I check.

I think before you can consume any adjustments given for the gun you need to know how the guy paints because like I said your style dictates adjustment and fluid pressure.

Edit:
I will say this about the RP.
The air adjustment on the gun should be wide open.
The regulator at the wall should be 120-140 lbs Min.
Then adjust the air with a separate diaphragm regulator at the gun.
I have found its the only way for this gun to lay a slick non peel job.
Unless your shooting a low solid product and then it don't really matter.

My Jet90-2 RP,1.4 "recommends" 46# at the gun reg.
The "other" RP says 36# according to the chart.

I've tried running mine around 35 and it paints like crap. If I run it WFO on the fluid and painted 4" out,I don't know if I could move fast enough to keep it from running. I have not tried clear with it as of yet so I can't say.
I usually end up with around 2 3/4-3 out on the fluid and around 7" average off panel.I'm moving pretty fast and getting good coverage. I used it on the dragster for the silver base,Chromabase, and only needed 2 coats for coverage. The first coat was actually really good but I shot 2 like I normally would.
If you have used or talked with anyone using my version,I'd appreciate some pointers.
