SATA vs. DeVilbiss
For their respective top of the line guns, who makes the better gun. I'm going to be buying a new gun soon and I'm trying to decide on what to get. I've always thought DeVilbiss was the best but I've seen alot of threads on this site and other saying that SATA is better. Most of them were comparing mid-range guns though. Any help is greatly appreciated.

An interesting question. My answer is: I don't know! My thoughts are that with my experience, either would perform far beyond my abilities so either would work the same for me. Don't get me wrong, I know that an outstanding painter would get OK results from a crapo gun and a crapo painter would get crapo results from an outstanding gun. What I am trying to say is don't waste your money on the top of the line gun if you are an occasional painter that can not extract the performance capability of the gun.

Sata is a quality German made tool...
DeVilbiss is made in the USA .. We all know Z Germans care about the stuff they make ..

How about parts, I have no concern for getting DeVillbiss parts, are SATA most SATA parts available through local distributors or would I have to order them?
