Satajet RP or SATAjet RP2 digital

I'm currently spraying with a Satajet RP and am very satisfied with the results. A buddy of mine just bought a 3000 digital and offered me his RP2 digital at a very fair price. Is there any benefit to the RP2 digital over the RP? I run the RP with no regulator at the gun, just with the wall regulator and fine tune with the gun micrometer. I'll either buy the RP2 digital as a spare or to replace the RP.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions,
Chip.

Chip,

I have a couple of the digitals and I always adjust be it the RP's or the Iwatas by feel at the gun without a regulator and wall pressure at wall wide open.

First time I ever looked at the digital was when Fordsr on here called and said he had bought the same gun and wanted to know air pressure for shooting base, day before I had shot some silver and did not change settings when I cleaned the gun so went out to garage and checked what the air was set at.

I think they are a waste of money myself but I would buy that RP if price is right, because personally I like the old RP's better then my 3000RP.
3000 is just to temperamental on the adjustments.

That's what I was needing to hear. They both have 1.4 tip. I didn't know if the RP laid down a marginally better finish or if it just had a gimmick to sell it, the digital micrometer.

Thanks Barry,
Chip.
