sb 350 runs a little rich and surges some...

I drive my car maybe twice aweek ,maybe less then 20miles ,and here latly it is starting to run a little rich. I know with the weather changing i will have to re-tune my carbs , but it also has started making a popping sound out of the exhaust when i get down on it hard, its not a bad popping sound ,and it only pops once or twice, and at times it doesnt even pop at all. When i come to a stop at a stop sighn, it surges alittle, like its wanting to go with out me touching the gas.
I changed my plugs right before summer because it was popping out of the pasenger side exhaust at idel, and i had a bad plug.
my wires are accel 8mm( they been on about 2 years}, but i have 8.8mm 300+ racing wires from accel that are new im planning on putting on. what changes do ya'll think i should do before i do anything.
Im running 2-450 cfm mec sec holly carbs, 50cc acc pumps,5.5 power valves. msd ready to run distributor. car still runs good, but just started actting up. look at my old post if you need any more info on my engine.

thanks robbie

Change the plug wires first and see what happens, even so It likely won`t clear it up, it maybe of help. You have more faith in accel products than I do, I won`t run anymore of there stuff, been burned by them too many times.
