sbc 305 cam question

I am currently rebuilding a 305ho motor (Engine code L69 for firebirds and camaros). This motor came from the factory with a computer-controlled Q-jet with 190hp. I believe it came with a corvette cam in it. I would like to put comp cams xe262h-10 "xtreme energy" hyd. cam with 218/224dur @.050 and .462/.469 lift w/ 110 deg ls. I read in an article that this cam was used on a similar 305 with a 750dp. The motor made about 270hp. The trick to my situation is that I have a tbi system that I would like to use in place of the Q-jet setup. The TB on this system is about a 520cfm. I was wondering if this cam and EFI (will such a small 520cfm tb) will work together.

More info on motor...block is bored .040 over, remanufatured crank, new stock .040 flat top pistons (came from the factory with flat tops), wieand stealth intake, rebuilt heads (stock).

I know I'm not doing much to the motor I'm on a budget.I've been getting away with this build up suprisingly cheap. I am putting this motor in a 5-speed 85 Pontiac Fireo (2100lbs).

I hope someone has some input on my question. Thanks!

That throttle body runs off of Manifold vaccum. With that cam you are going to have less vaccum. The computer is going to try to figure out how to bring the vaccum back out. It is going to stall out and surge down on ya.

Throw a carb on it...

If you really want a TB then look into an after maket Edelbrock analog or Accel digital.

Thanks Duckie...I was afraid of that! Well the reason why I was wanting to use that TB system was because I have nothing else..plus I know that TB system is reliable. I am basically just using stuff I already have. I was looking at the specs for the cams on the 305ho I am building and the 305 that the TB system came off...

305ho stock cam specs... .404/.415 lift @.050 202/206 duration

TBI 305 stock cam specs... .350/.384 lift @.050 179/194 duration

Now I still have the stock cam for the 305ho, is that cam (above)still to much for that 520cfm TB? Basically..could I get away with using the TB on the 305ho with its stock cam, or will I still have the same problem?

On a side note... Edelbrock has an aftermarket cam that is for the 305 that the TB system came off of and its close to the 305ho cam. Its specs are...
.398/.442 lift @.050 194/214 duration

edelbrock also says this cam is for the 305ho also?!?!?!?!?
