I just put in a 350 in my '67 c10. The motor runs good, I did the pre lube, cam break in, the whole nine yards. I have now run it for a couple hundred miles and am getting a miss on the number two cylinder under idle. I had that plug fuel fouled. I changed them out. All the other plugs were uniformly tan on one side and white on the other. The plugs were champion rj18yc's. I changed them because I am biased against champion plugs. I put in ac delco R43's, as that is what the original 327 called for. I am still getting the miss. Any ideas as to a better plug?
If I put my timing light on the no. 1 cylinder I get a steady Flash Flash Flash at Idle but when I put it on the no. 2 cylinder I get a Flash flashflash Flash flashflash. It seems to be a crossover but I can't find it. The engine seems to idle beter around 800 - 900 rpm, the manual suggests 550 but it is too lopey. Is this idle too high? Any suggestions for eliminating the miss or on the idle setting?
Also, what is a good method to use for spak plug wire routing, I am using the stock seperators with the rams horn manifolds.
The engine is a 30 over 350 with a cam, sorry I don't remember the specs, 2.02 valve fuelie heads, Edelbrock performer intake Edelbrock 600 cfm carb. th400 automatic.
