Sbc 350 to vortec 350

I am in the process of building a vortec 350, bottom end all button up. I have a sbc 350 casting 010 in a 69 chevy that I will be pulling and using whatever accessories I can. My question is what can I use on my vortec block. I know I need another intake manifold and I plan on buying a new hei distributor but what about the water pump, can it be a regular flow or reverse? Can I use a v belt system or a serpentine would be better? This is a budget build. Thanks in advance.

Yea, I got the bottom end all button up. I ordered a oil pan from summit with the windage tray and all. Just was wondering about the water pump and the pulley set up options that I can use.

You can use all the external drive accessories from your pickup. V-belt or serpentine setups both work as long as you have the correct water pump (they turn opposite directions).
