SBC 366299 block

Anyone know anything about these blocks?
I know it is from 1982, aluminum, splayed bolt mains with nodular caps, 4" bore.
What I need to know is:
How much power can it take
Any known faults
What is it worth if I don't build it
Why did they only make it one year
I know someone here knows all the answers.

Thanks in adavance.

That is a Chevy Bowtie aluminum block with nodular iron splayed caps, wet sump, and 4.00" bore. They were an over the counter sale.

I know what the block is, I need to know the reason they only made it just one year and what it is worth. Are just the main caps the limiting factor on power?
