OK Guys...I got it....I think..!! Let's say it gives me lots to ponder before I plunk my $$ down. I understand the increased dwell time, & the criticalness of exacting the timing & tuning. I understand the value of RPM as it relates to cam selection, cylinder fill, compression, etc. It would appear that I'm building a "slightly over stock" budget street reality, what I'm trying to accomplish is a High Torque, reasonable street RPM motor....the end result being that I will stuff this finished motor in an '86 chevy astro van with a built 700R4, as a sleeper. I already have the 400, I already have the heads, I already have the H-beam rods, performer RPM intake, & Edelbrock 750...If I can map out the rest of the parts to make this stuff work...great, If not, then the acquisition of what I really need now takes precident. I appreciate everyone's contribution to my question....& believe me, I'm studying it closely. It never hurts to ask, & go to school on those that have been there....Much Abliged.
