sbc with 671 ignition run on probs

hey guys , im finishing up a 358 with a 671 with 2 predators , i just got back from a 5 mile test drive with it , and it runs on when shuting down , it just started to do this , well this is the first time i actually let the engine run a good long time

but here are the stats

358, 671, 2 predators , it has an msd digital 6 ignition , with probillet distributer

timing is locked out at 33 degs , i used to drag race so i always liked locked out timing , could this be the problem with the run on when hot ?

yes the 2 predators are tuned properly , no black smoke and the plugs looked good after bringing it back , light brownish

your msd ignition box may require a diode in the , ithink its the brown wire coming from your alternater. if not that it could be to much timing, a vacuum leak will also cause runon.

hmmm , ill need to check out that diode, i got this box years ago and i do remember a diode when i had it in the drag car , but never paid attention to it

when i locked out the timing i had it tig welded solid becuase one day at the track the little screw msd had came off and blew up my rotor and cap, a freak accident lol , but i think im gonna try to get a new shaft and try to get the timing down to 15 or so at idle and then bring it in .... i dunno , it confuses the hell out of me becuase all timing should be in at 3000 being 32 deg or so , then use a retartard box to take it back down ,

with my setup , i got in it and by 3500 it was putting out 6lbs of boost , i was told that it should be 8lbs at 6000 so who knows

sometimes i think i should have taking up golfing as a hobby instead of custom car building ... ugh
