If somebody were to put a SBF into a 1st gen. Camaro, I would have to sit down an cry. And then kill him.

I can understand the SBC in a Mustang. My son had a 4 cyl Mustang, and got alot of tickets. I should have done that. Was looking for a way to slow him down!

Even a Chevy guy like me can appreciate that feeble attempt at humour........

BTW, my Ford is Chevy powered.........................it ain't slow.

hey, 'round here you put a ford in your ford. cross-breeding is a sin. Roddin is a religion, and thats considerd a "word of wisdom."

I was thinking about it. I was toying with the idea of putting my 5.0 into my brother in law's 68 Camaro. It was just sitting there with no engine, and needed something. My 5.0 has Trick Flow heads, huge cam and a lot of other power adders.

The Camaro was sold a few months ago and that was the end of it.

Been there, put a 355 SBC in an 85 Stang recently....had a header custom made for the left side, used a header designed for a V8 S-10 conversion on the right side.

Lots of chevy motors were put in fords . Why because flathead ford had same sump setup as sbc. Dig out your old hotrod mags
and streetrod mags . Jim ewings 1934 had a sbc and a buick v-6.
Most 1940 fords in the 1960s t0 the late 80s had sbc s in them.
I have a lot of old magazines as my dad and grand dad and great grand dad were hotrodders.
