SBC aluminum heads

Anyone know anything about these heads? Are they worth the price or is better to just buy a name brand set for a few bucks more

To be honest I can't say I've heard much good about them. Take a look at the picture and look at the core shift around the exhaust guide, also the throat below the seat is machined to the same side. Pretty dicey stuff. I'm sure there's lots of folks around who do fine with them but.....
The price is for bare heads so with valves and springs plus hardware you can add another $300 plus getting the valves finished.
You can get a set of 200cc Edelbrock E-tecs for around a $1100 assembled from Summit or Jegs or 170cc Rpm's for around a grand plus Jegs has free shipping.

No!

Read the ad closely. What are these heads, "Pro Comp" or "Pro Race"? Many, many posts have gone over why you should stay away from these heads. Search the forums for "Pro Comp". Stay away from 'em.
