SBC to BBC motor mounts?

What are the differences in the motor mounts? right now i have a sbc in there am i gonna have to weld in new mounts to the frame? Also is it the same style where the bolt slides through the mount on the frame? and does anybody know how much longer a big block is than a Small block?

Thanks,
Matt

Small block chevy and big block chevy mounts interchange with the other, however, if you install a big block on small block mounts, the engine will likely sit too high, as this problem has surfaced in many passenger cars, the big block mounts sit lower, and often slightly offset to one side for more clearence.

sitting too high is not a big deal in a 59 truck. I already have about a foot of clearance not only that but i would mind a little hilborn style scoop stickin out the hood
