sbc build

hi hoping to get some advice on building my 350.so far i have crane 488-510lift-234-244 cam,edelbrock super victor intake,PATRIOT ALUMINUM HEADS 2.02 V 64CC,edelbrock 650 carb,block is a 79 out of camaro.any input would be great as this is my first motor build,i'm hoping to get 375 hp.thanks for your help.

Are you using stock bottom end components (rods, crank) are you looking for a piston recommendation/engine kit. Looks like you have most already.

i have stock bottom end,looking at flat top pistons that are 30 over size,before i put it all togather what am i missing or should i add,its going i a 79 camaro mostly street use,couple times a year to the drags

Sbc Build.......

Hey Mikey , sounds like you have great parts there, I would suggest a steel crank and a roller cam with that lift. .488- .510. good luck.

It`s nice to put a nice piece together however, keep in mind that the first thing you need to do is to make sure you get the internals balanced before the assembly. You can ruin your good parts in the long run if you do not balance the assembly. A steal crank is the way to go and Eagle has come a long way from the past, they offer a real good price on cranks for up to 800 ponies. Good luck with your motor.....

wrong intake. you need a dual plane. look at the performer rpm intake.

not happy with that carb. get a 750 holley.

you will need 10:1 cr, 3.73 gear, and a 2800 stall with that cam.
