SBC camshaft casting numbers

Hi guys anyone know if this casting number is a stock gm cam.....1137 1p.. this is on the rear of the cam and nothing on the front is stamped its blank thanks Jim

Good chance it is, but I have no reliable info on what the numbers cross reference to, as far as the cam specs or engine goes.

The cam from my Vortec engine is marked:
1264
2 03
7247
a QC stamp of F and something else (maybe a P) is also there, all on the distributor gear end.

Back in the day GM used a paint code. Not ID numbers on camshaft. I don't know about present production.

Thanks guys i kinda thought it mite be a a gm cam just wanting to know. The yong man that sold me the 350 4 bolt engine with a edelbrok rpm performer intake said that it had a ( hot cam ) but no biggie its going to be rebulit anyway... thanks JIM

Actually they still do- at least in some cases like the GM ZZ4 cam below. If you look to the right of the end of the cam (which also has a 'stamped' ID) you can see the blurred pink stripe they used.
