sbc crapping out

Hi there

I have a sbc with a edelbrock 1406 600 cfm carb now the problem I am having is when the engine is hot and I drive a couple miles the engine starts to crap out and loose power and then when put in park and give it a little gas it settles down , any thoughts

make sure the fuel line is not over heating and boiling the fuel .are u running a carb spacer?

could i be getting to much heat transfer to the carb from the manifold and vaporizing the fuel
