sbc heads

i'm building a 350 bored 40 overand flat top pistons,so far i have 510 lift cam, victor Jr intake,gear drive,and edelbrock 650 carb.wanting to reach 450 hp.....i need some advice on heads.been looking at dart iron eagle heads 215/64cc 2.02/1.60 valves,or pro comp 210/64cc any thoughts and advice would be very helpful.this is my first engine build.

I would go with the Iron Eagles. Don`t use nothing with "ProComp" written on it. I think the runner size is a bit too big, 190 is all you need and a dual plane intake would work better than a Vic jr if you plan on any street action.
If this is drag only then the 215 heads and Vic jr along with a 4000 stall, 4.56 gears would work well on the drag strip.

You may want to rethink the gear drive Sounds real cool BUT is hella bad on your cam. When it comes to your heads you should check into these they seam like they would do your combo pretty well. maybe some of the other guys have better advice. Unless you drag a lot and have some cash, the darts are a bit overkill but so is your cam IMO I still say stay away from gear drives

If your into street/strip
only downside is you have to swap that intake

If you like spending money

This is just my opinion, I'm not even qualified to make this decision for you Sorry

Dart Pro One 180 heads
9.75:1 static compression ratio
650 carb
Edelbrock RPM or Weiand Stealth intake
1 5/8" long-tube headers
Comp flat tappet hydraulic cam
Makes 463 hp @6000, 457 ft/lbs torque @5000
Use 2200-2500 stall converter and 3.73 rear gears with posi and upgraded rear suspension.
