SBC intake bolts

I know I've read here that I can put a vintage intake manifold on a late model 350 that has angled bolt holes,TRUE?
Can I also use my vintage distributor?
'90 sbc late 60's intake dizzy and water pump. etc.
Thanx for any help

Are you referring to the 86,87 up heads with the 2 center bolts at a different angles or Vortec type heads? If NonVortec style heads the center holes on your intake can be ground to work with newer heads. If Vortec style I don't recommend drilling those for oldstyle intakes because of sealing problems. Distributor & waterpump should be fine.

Thanx, I'll check on the Vortec vs non Vortec. This 350 is out of a truck and the throttle body has been removed ,so I think it is non Vortec . I haven't seen the motor yet. I was thinking of using my carb and intake.
Thanx.

If it was a TBI engine it is not a Vortec head so you will have to do a little grinding or mill work on the 4 centers. The Vortec's were the ones with the plastic upper intake.
