sbc lifter question
ok here is a stupid question. I am working on a 350 chevy it is fairly new it has had a cam change and I am putting new roller rocker arms on and new pushrods. it is a hyd cam and it seems some of the rockers were on to tight before, almost seems a few of them are colapsed. they are not old so I am wondering if there is a good way to get them pumped back up without having to take the intake off again. thanks in advance

Start the engine. The only way to Pump them up is to fill them with oil. If you have tightened them enough to collapse them then they are too tight. If you start the motor with them too tight you can kiss your new pushrods goodbye. There are a whole bunch of threads on this forum about the proper way to set the rocker arms. Check them out before you start the motor or you will be replacing more than the rockers and pushrods for sure.
