If you want one that is already done

You could also find a 500CI BB Cadillac drive train. You're already stretching the frame so you would have the room to make it work.

Not really wanting one already done. I really enjoy building them myself. I have a Pontiac G6 6 speed I plan to put in it. Just still undecided on the engine. My two concerns is not wanting to get more than the car can handle with a V8 and then I'm just not sure how well that 3800 is gonna do once I get larger wheels on it. I mean I see these Fieros doing well with the 3800 but most of what I've seen has been like on 14s and 15s but what about on larger wheels like maybe 18s. It's a lot to consider.

What I was suggesting was buying one that was done so you have a known good setup to move to your project car.

your Fiero swap options

Both have been done as you know. Of the guys I know with swaps I can tell you this. Northstars have been put in and pulled out due to problems on more than 2 occasions.
SBC's once done are normally rock solid, but more expensive to swap in due to all the bits and pieces required.
The fastest, bar none, is PBJ's 10 second 3800 turbo'd GT. He also had the fastest 4.9 turbo'd.

I am doing a 4.9 carb'd because I want some power and simplicity. It won't be the fastest, but it will still go well, and will be trouble free.

Hope this helps.

This is an old thread, the OP hasn't logged into the board for over a year, and never provided a followup.
