SBC Oil Cooler Adapter

Hey Guys,
I'm trying to find an oil filter sandwich cooling adapter that fits on an '85 SBC that will allow me to use the smaller 3" diameter filter (Fram PH3506, KN-1007, Etc.). I already have a factory cooler adapter, but it is too large and will not fit with the headers. I bought an LT-1 corvette offset filter adapter, and it would have worked great if it were straight, but it actually throws the filter out into the pan (at an angle, who would have guessed. ).
So, do any of you know of a thin cooler adapter (13/16 X 16) that will fit into the block and allow me to use a small diameter filter? If someone could point me in the right direction, it would be much appreciated.

-Rick

Amsoil and Motorguard both sell sandwich adaptors. You can also ask over here too.
Lots of info on them.
