SBC piston decisions?

ok who makes a better piston KB or SRP, both are forged! its going in a 10.5/1 355cid with aluminum heads, forged eagle H rods and forged crankshaft. Thanks

I like mahle,have them in 2 motors,no problems,both are flatops 6 inch rods 0 deck 64 cc. al. heads.
But to each his own.
Its true you get what you pay for!!
Oh sorry all sbc here ,xpt for 496 bb Im building

KB are suitable for a hot street motor.

SRP if it's going racing.

The issue is that both will tolerate your combination, it just for how long at max output.

pistons

KB is now making forged pistons but are not finnished as well as others, look at the valve relief and see they are not machined.
SRP is a better performance piston. SRP has a longer track record being JE pistons really and are finished much nicer.
KB also has a problem with weight change over time is you ever need to replace one.
SRP will always be the same or within a few grams.
Probe has a good piston for the price with a factory press fit or performance full floaters.
