sbc problems
i have a friend of mine that has a 94 k1500 with a 5.7L the passenger side head gasket was replaced and now there is a little bit of smoke comming out the tail pipe and the radiator was almost empty today i filled it back up and i can squeeze the top hose when it is running and there is no resitance at all what could be the problem

Where's the coolant going? Is it ending up in the oil pan or are you saying since it's smoking the engine is burning it? Burning water comes out as steam with some whiteness mixed in. Was the head magnafluxed for cracks when it was removed? Was it checked for straightness?
