If this is just a daily driver without performance in mind the only draw back is the compression ratio that will result in using a small chambered 305 head. The small 58cc chambers raise the compression ratio considerably on a 350 and that could cause detonation and that can kill your engine. If your 350 is a stock 350 with dished pistons you can install the 305 heads and carefully set the timing curve and run premium fuel and get away with it. Also a help would be to run a cooler T stat such as a 180 degree as well as cold air induction. If your engine is overbored with flat top pistons it`s likely the ratio will be too high for pump gas.
