SBC Starting Problem
I have a manze with a sbc 400 bored out to become a 454.
The car was running great and while driving it one day it just shut off... I have replaced the coil the ignition modult the whole distributor all the wires and had it trying to start last night but when I retimed it it will now not fire... i retimed it due to the fact is was backfiring through the carb... all wires are hooked up but on the coil the (-) side reads 4.59 volts and the (+) side reads 11.04 is this correct? |

Sounds like a classic 180 degrees out. Verify #1 is up on compression with the thumb over the hole and the rotor is pointing at #1 tower/wire.
