sbc with th 350 in 88 cutlass supreme? s :

I am putting a SBC with th 350 in an 88 cutlass supreme and was wondering if I use a longtail if I could use my stock drive anyone out there that have done this I would appreciate the help

What trans did the cutlass come with originally? That would be a big help

Your '88 would probably have had a 200-4R or TH350C with a short tail shaft. They never put a long tailshaft 350 in a G-body so you'll have to have the driveshaft shortened and balanced. I'd look for the correct trans, lot less hassle and plenty of them out there.

ok thats what i thought was in it i was told it was a 700r4 but i didnt think it was right i found out it was the 200 the person that told me it was a 700 told me a long shaft th350 is the same size and thats what i needed to use so i thought i would ask i havent bought a trans yet

350 short, 200C, and 200-4r are all the same length and use the same output shaft. I've swapped around a few of those.
