Post Are sbc throttle body heads & older block compatable?

I just bought a set of heads for my van, Then my van gets flooded, so now I have a brand new set of heads and was wondering if I could use them on an older (1973) block That I'm building to put in my 57 Chevy. The heads have 1.94 intakes. But they are the center bolt kind. The two holes in the center that mount the manifold to the heads are at a different angle than the ones on the ends but that's ok because I'm buying an intake that has adaptors for that. I know you'll ask why would I want to use them, I'm just trying to save me some money, Aren't we all?

yes, they`ll work. The only ones that won`t work on the older blocks are the LT1 and LS1 engines that have reverse flow cooling.

You can elongate the center holes to make it fit OK without degrading the sealing surface.
Luv the smell of NITRO in the morning.
