I could b wrong but I thought chevy 350 cranks were the same except for the 2pc and 1pc design. the guy who assembled my truck said he got the crank out of a 90s era full size van and the keyway for the dampner is cut in a difrent spot so wen he put a older timing cover on it the timing marks r off (under waterpump), i dont have a timing light yet wating on wife to let me buy one but have anybody heard of this before?  |
It's not the crankshaft keyways that are different, but the different dampers and timing tabs can sure cause a headache. Here you go:
