sbf hyd retro lifter tick

hello, 1st post....i just finished a 39 Ford truck...son bought it on ebay while i was nappin....felt a poke on the shoulder to wake to his smilin face sayin "look what we won"....the only good thing was the pic....i ordered and fabbed a new frame, built a 351w, hooked to an AOD and 4.11's on a tri 4 bar 9 inch....bout a years work but it turned out beautiful....my question is, does anyone have any info on how dependable the retro roller lifters are from comp...i bought some, now one bleeds down too fast and ticks on start up....i hate that....short of pulling them and replacing, is there an easier fix?....we took the truck to GoodGuys LoneStar and won awards on our first showing.....now i'm driving and enjoying except for that tick.....thanks

If you do a Google search or a search on this site you'll find loads of angry engine builders with the same Ticking problem. Comp brand is the problem. You're are lucky if it's only one Lifter.
Nice looking ride.
