Scat 9000 crank VS stock 400 crank?

I am getting ready to build a 383 stroker for boost, but am on a budget. I was wondering which crank would hold the most power. The Scat 9000 383 stroker crank says its good to 500hp and 7000 rpm's. How much can a stock 400 crank handle? Thanks in advance.

I would not recommend either one for a boosted engine, but I have seen alot of guys run stock cranks with good luck. The main deal is to keep RPM reasonable and use lightweight pistons and rods. That will make the crank live alot longer.

Going boost and going budget usually doesn't work too well for too long. My choice, wth gun to head, I'd go with the Scat.

4140 or 4340 Eagle or Scat at a minumum. Lunati or somthing of that caliber is nice, but will cost you.
