scat rods

My bearings that fit fine on the cap but will not center on the rod. They are H-beam for Ford 5.0. The notch in the in the bearing won't allow the rod to fit the journal because it sticks out on one side. And like I said the cap is fine.

You might try a different bearing from another lot to see if the bearing was sent out wrong.

If a bearing from another lot fits the same way, the problem is likely w/the rod manufacturing/machining.

There are 2 bevels on the big end of the rod. The larger one goes to the outside, away from the other rod, to clear the radius on the crank. Noticed this on my SBC with SCAT rods. Not only is the bearing not centered, the small bevel won't clear the radius on the crank.. all bad..
