I'm sure that this topic has been brought up lots and lots of times before but I can't really find anything that would answer my question. What school would teach me to build a car from top to bottom. Now I figured that it would be wyo tech at 1st, but now that've read some of the post's on this site I wanna know what the educated people will say (you). I wanted to take all of the 3 core courses at wyotech and all the classes. So I can take any car look at it and know what can and can't be done. And I also really wanna build my own car. Not the subject matter. Witch school, wyo tech, maybe some university. Please help.
Wyoming Tech seems to eb the one I always hear about. There is a school near me that offers a restoration/hot rod course, but from the little I've seen of WT's program, they are a bit more comprehnsive than the course near me.
Wyo-tech is a very good school,my partner went there. Also check out these I found.I am not too sure if they are what you are looking for or not:
I hope this helps.
Schooling is good and in this day and age you need it to get a job at 7-11... BUT... hands on experience is the best teacher you could have and you would do yourself good to have a part time job in the same or similar field you are studying.
Most of the "old" guys on this forum (including myself) have never had any "formal" schoolin'. Hands on, do it yourself or it don't get done kinda stuff is where we all learned what we know. So, take some classes, get some good background and learn with your hands while you're filling your head with "nonsense". I think you'll find your knowledge will soon surpass what they can teach you in a classroom.
