In reality the scoop won't be anywhere near that big, you have the sizing off, it won't be much more than 3/4-1" taller than the filters in the first pic. You have the scale all wrong.

I would like the scoop myself, to scale of course

Actually, the scale isn't really that far off (slighty bigger, maybe)

The dual carb scoop will run almost the entire length of the block and the rear of the block is hidden behind the recesses firewall....




Also, real Hilborn scoops have a bigger mouth than the repro scoops...
