Was this a score?
Single family car that was taken from a mother by her son in 1988 when she was 82. He passed away last year (57), and now the wife is selling it. I kid you not.
The good: All the paper work since it was new comes with the car, manuals, sales slip from the dealer, title, you name it! The better: 69 Ford LTD 2dr; formal top; V2 302; auto; no AC; 59k original miles. All the trim pieces are like NOS! The dash is virgin, having the original drivers side AM radio. It is the same burgundy exterior as my 69 XL Convertible, and will make a great parts car!  The best: In the last year (before his death) he purchased new chrome smoothie  rims rapped with Bridgestone tires and a custom dual exhaust. All new breaks, shocks. After he died she could not get it going, so she had it towed to a garage where they replaced the battery, alternator, cables, and something else I can¡¦t remember so she could sell the car. She has a folder with all the slips. Sure there was a little rust around the rear quarters, and small dings here and there (from old lady parking), but I was having a hard time holding back the tears of joy. I go tomorrow with a friends repair plate to take her home for $500 buckaroos

Check the frame just under and behind the axle, my father in law got one just like it with super low mileage and a 390 2bbl, it even had bias ply tires still on it that were minty. The car was beautiful and he paid $800 CDN for it.
It's too bad the frame was shot from sitting so long, I don't know if the long grass did it in but the whole rear clip just about fell off the car from the rotten frame. Still for $500 I think it's a great deal just for the parts.

Drove her 70 miles home with out an issue. Listen to sports talk on the AM radio the hole way. The V2 302 barly moved the gas gage the entire trip. I felt like taking her across the country right there and then!

Have the owners cards, and all sorts of stuff. Look under and saw an aftermarket rear sway bar bolted on... just keeps getting better

Let me clarify.
The XL being a 390ci; convertible; buckets; floor shifter; power everything; as a #2 car is worth $10,000 or more. The LTD being a 302; hard top; drums in the front; as a #2 car is worth $3,500. The LTD will remain a complete car. What I plan to do, is to swap the best parts to the XL.
